Gabriela and Mihaela Modorcea – the famed Indiggo Twins – present a revival of their wildly popular live stage version of “Wicked Clone or how to deal with the evil” a cinema novel by Mihaela Modorcea. This stage version: Wicked Clone The Cinema Musical is an immersive blend of musical theatre, film sequences depicting 15th century Transylvania to modern day NYC (and beyond), and excerpts from Mihaela’s magic realist novel of the same name which has been a bestseller at Barnes & Noble.

This event coincides with the BROADWAY RECORDS release of the original cast recording.

Each performance starts with a symphonic overture of original songs before film projections on a wide cinema screen depicted Transylvania’s most famous citizen, Vlad, the Impaler, and his army fighting the Ottomans, culminating with Vlad’s tragic death – and dark resurrection. The film and stage show take us into the imagination of the Indiggo Twins’ tale of Vlad’s blood ritual with Violeta, a poor mother from Transylvania. Thanks to this macabre sexual rite, Violeta gives birth to identical twin girls “as different as day and night” — one wicked and cruel as Vlad’s revengeful “spirit of the night” — the other as beautiful and chaste as Vlad’s dead wife.

Wicked Clone weaves a macabre story of the lives of these two girls featuring a fascinating musical score by the Ingiggo Twins, dramatic film sequences, immersive techniques and audience participation, and a few appearances by Vlad himself.

Gothic and alluringly reminiscence of Hammer Films at its heyday with a wild score, Wicked Clone takes you into another world.

“A rare piece of visual and audio creativity,” (City Guide NY) “
