Dandelion tackles a powerful topic. We meet Jane – forced to confront profound questions of guilt, responsibility, and sacrifice – as she is forced to make a decision between attending college in pursuit of her lifelong dreams or staying home to care for Delilah, her ailing mother, locked in a desperate battle with severe mental illness and opioid addiction.
Book by Jessica Fichter and Sean Riehm, Music and Lyrics by Colleen Francis and Bill Zeffiro, Developed with Hailee Beltzhoover. Ms. Fichter Off-Broadway: Eleventh Hour, Shadows: A Dance Musical) will direct this concert version fresh off a series of developmental readings and workshops at Ensemble-Atria in NYC.
Dandelion brings laughter and tears; hopeful chances arising from the depths of despair; and new possibilities from female power.
