The Revolution Returns: MITF 2026 is Here to Break the Internet (and the Fourth Wall)
The legend is back, and it’s bigger than ever. Founder and EP John Chatterton—an OG of the Off-Off Broadway movement—is officially rebooting his groundbreaking theatrical event with a massive vision: to build the largest independent theatre festival in history.

After 18 seasons of redefining the NYC stage, the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) is returning from its hiatus to serve as the ultimate playground for indie creators. We’re talking mainstage takeovers, short play marathons, solo-show vibes, and high-energy gala events. This isn’t just a festival; it’s a movement designed to give a megaphone to the voices society usually puts on mute.
New for 2026: The Midtown International Film Festival

We’re not just stopping at the stage. In a powerhouse collab with Chill Bucket Productions and Channel Indie, we’re dropping the Midtown International Film Festival—a high-intensity, one-day showcase of the finest short films from across the globe.
